Music, Dance & Theatre
The Music Department at Disha Delphi Public School believes in music being a universal language and works towards the objective of discovering young talents. Training in performance and appreciation of music prepares a student in many ways to make his school experience a joyful and productive one. Students are trained in vocal as well as instrumental music. A students’ initiation into music takes place when the new students join the school. The learners perfect the basics of music and then gradually start with composition, performance, theory, exploring the Ragas and experimenting on their own. Within a short time, many students are able to play or sing a whole composition perfectly. Individual attention is given to each learner. Our musical vocabulary includes harmonium, tabla, sitar, guitar, piano, keyboard and vocals.
It is said that dance is the ultimate defiance of gravity. It is an artistic expression as well as a workout for the entire body. We expect our students to develop versatility, a keen stylistic sense and the prowess to balance technical skills with creativity. Our team ensures that each student tests out his or her dancing shoes. The walls fitted with mirrors provide a glimpse of each angle and each movement enabling the dancers to improve their posture and stance. We, at DDPS, want students to be able to express their own ideas, to be able to live in their own world for some time, to be able to learn what they really are from the inside.
